There is a mental health support group in the local Burwood community that has an active
engagement plan. That support group is called Grow.
The Grow program has been supporting individuals since 1957.
All attendees at Grow meetings benefit from a unique program focused on mutual support and
personal development regarding mental health. Our groups are formed by individuals
experiencing mental health challenges, all seeking to foster and sustain good mental health. The
Grow Program is inclusive and incorporates various principles for mental, social, and spiritual
well-being.

What sets Grow apart is the practical advice and shared lived experiences of our members every
week. Grow champions positive health, life skills, and overall well-being for adults over 18 years
of age. Over the years, many Grow members have successfully navigated their mental health
journeys, discovering personal value, meaning, and purpose in their lives. This may involve reentering
the workforce, whether in paid or volunteer roles, and making meaningful contributions
to society.
