Locations: Perth & Greater Perth Region | Multiple Positions Available | 12-Month Part-Time Contracts

Are you passionate about mental health and community wellbeing? GROW is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team in delivering our signature mental health and wellbeing programs, Get Growing and Growing Resilience, across Perth and the greater Perth region.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting new role for an enthusiastic Program Worker keen to establish mutual partnerships of collaboration and to support delivery of GROW Australia’s adjunct programs Growing Resilience and Get Growing.

    • Facilitation and delivery of Grow Australia’s Adjunct Programs to community members living within the Perth South region experiencing life struggles caused by psychosocial impairment.

    • Networking and liaising with community groups, mental health professionals and agencies to create opportunities for Grow’s adjunct program delivery and referral pathways.

    • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Programs via Communities of Practice to ensure currency and relevance to service user/community needs identified in the area.

    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders.

    • Develop a broader understanding of the Grow Program and its application in delivering GROWs adjunct programs

    • Contribute to the delivery of outcomes according to the WA Branch Plan as part of the broader Organisational strategic plan.

    • Collect and evaluate pre and post implementation surveys capturing participant outcomes and satisfaction of service.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated ability to learn further computer programs as required.

• A Police Certificate is required following relevant legislation and Grow policy. Where applicable,

additional state and federal government screening may be required including working with children checks.

• Current Driver’s License.

• Current First Aid Certificate.

• Evidence of Australian citizenship or current working visa.

• WWC Clearence

 

Highly desirable:

• Demonstrated ability to work within a vibrant caring team.

• Demonstrated high level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and carry tasks through to completion.

• Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality improvement.

• Experience in the maintenance of good working relationships with other providers and funders and key stakeholder.

 

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification and experience concerning the role. This may include tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Youth Services, or Peer Support Group Work/Community Development, and Training Certificate (Minimum Cert IV).

Experience:

• Experience in working with vulnerable people

• Experience in facilitating small groups

• Sound knowledge of personal and social issues people are facing and the impacts on their mental health

• Experience in Peer Support

• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and practice of Grow Program or willingness to acquire same.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, planning to manage and delivering services using good time management and working inside the budget.
